E-books and Audio Books

Our library has a variety of e-books and audio books.  They come in many formats and are available to staff and students.  We are in the process of updating our collection and will continue to do so indefinitely.

Currently we have a small collection of e-books and audiobooks available on a service called Overdrive.  This is an umbrella digital management system that many public libraries use.  DJUSD adopted this service last year and we are working on expanding and improving our collection.  As of now the collection is not available for student or staff use. We hope to change that this fall.

*We do have physical audiobooks available in the library copy room in our "professional collection."  These are in cassette, CD, and Playaway (kind of like a mini iPod with just one book on it).  We also have CD and cassette players for staff to check out.

*Students with an IEP (Individualized Education Program) may be able to get free audio books through a state-wide service.  See Mrs. Labson in the library for details.
